COVID-19 Weekly Update-May 31, 2020

MYSA-Ajax Families:

Weekly Update:
Mary Grogan is officially closed until June 21. All MYSA-Ajax activities are suspended until further notice.

Ajax United (competitive program):
Tryouts
Unfortunately, Ajax United will not be able to be held on June 6-7. Ajax United Head Coaches will be administratively forming teams starting on June 6. Ajax United coaches cannot contact players who are currently registered on any other NorCal team. However, players from other NorCal clubs can approach Ajax United coaches once they have received their release from their NorCal club. Ajax United is prepared to schedule tryouts on June 22, 23, 24, 25 if Mary Grogan is open, for all Ajax United teams, especially those teams in need of players. Tryout dates and times for June 22-25 will be released on June 6. Please understand that if Mary Grogan is not open, we will adjust our dates and times appropriately. Ajax United Coaches
MYSA-Ajax is reinstating our Ajax United Head Coaches on June 1. Our club is also extending their 2019-2020 contracts through the month of June of 2020, or until a new contract is signed for those coaches who are interested in returning and negotiating a new contract. Our 2020-2021 Ajax United coaching staff will be posted on our website as soon as our returning and new coaches agree and sign a new contract.

Fall Season Update:
The deadline for the fall season registration has been pushed back to July 1, 2020.  In accordance with our team building policies, players will be assigned to teams on a first come, first served basis. Although we will not be charging late fees this season, team placement may not be available for your child, after July 1, 2020. We encourage you to register by July 1, 2020. Also, our Fall season timeline will be slightly modified. We will publish the Fall season timeline on our website once it is finalized. Scholarships
In 2019, SaveMart made a significant donation to our Modesto Soccer Foundation (MSF). This donation will enable us to assist those families in need and who qualify for our MSF financial assistance program, for the Fall season. In March of 2020, SaveMart, once again, made a smaller contribution to the Ajax United scholarship fund. Their kindness will continue to provide playing opportunities to many MYSA and Ajax United youth players of our community.

MYSA Scholarship applications must be turned in by July 1, 2020. Scholarships are not guaranteed for applications received after July 1, 2020. An Ajax United scholarship due date has not been set. We will publish its due date on our website as soon as a timeline has been set for Ajax United teams.

Adult Soccer (Men, Women, Co-ed, Just for Kicks):
No games or activities until further notice. We will finish up the current season as soon as we can go back out to the fields. The next season will start in September of 2020.
