COVID-19 Weekly Update, June 7, 2020

Weekly Update:

Mary Grogan is officially closed until June 21.

Ajax United (competitive program):
Tryouts
Ajax United Head Coaches have started forming teams administratively.  Ajax United is prepared to schedule tryouts on June 22, 23, 24, 25 if the Mary Grogan complex is open, for all Ajax United teams, especially those teams in need of players. A tentative schedule will be posted on our website on June 6. Please understand that if Mary Grogan does not open on June 22, we will adjust our tryouts' dates and times appropriately. For MYSA players interested in trying out for Ajax United, please contact us at [email protected]. Also, the 2020-2021 fees will be posted on Wednesday, June 10.

2020 Spring Season Update:

Fall Season Update:
The deadline for the fall season registration has been pushed back to July 1, 2020.  In accordance with our team building policies, players will be assigned to teams on a first come, first served basis. Although we will not be charging late fees this season, team placement may not be available for your child, after July 1, 2020. We encourage you to register by July 1, 2020. Also, our Fall season timeline will be slightly modified. We will publish the Fall season timeline on our website once it is finalized. Scholarships
In 2019, SaveMart made a significant donation to our Modesto Soccer Foundation (MSF). This donation will enable us to assist those families in need and who qualify for our MSF financial assistance program, for the Fall season. In March of 2020, SaveMart, once again, made a smaller contribution to the Ajax United scholarship fund. Their kindness will continue to provide playing opportunities to many MYSA and Ajax United youth players of our community.

MYSA Scholarship applications must be turned in by July 1, 2020. Scholarships are not guaranteed for applications received after July 1, 2020. An Ajax United scholarship due date has not been set. We will publish its due date on our website as soon as a timeline has been set for Ajax United teams.

Adult Soccer (Men, Women, Co-ed, Just for Kicks):
No games or activities until further notice. We will finish up the current season as soon as we can go back out to the fields. The next season will start in September of 2020.

Office Guidelines
New office guidelines will be coming soon. Our office is reopening on Monday, June 15. Due to COVID-19 and our dedication in keeping you and our staff members safe, we request that you use our online system for registration, informational needs, payments, and communication ([email protected]) purposes. Our new COVID-19 precautionary office guidelines will be posted on our website and sent to our membership by next weekend.
