Mary Grogan Park, a 42-acre community park located at 3601 Litt Road, Modesto, next to Enoch’s High School. It is named in honor of the longtime city parks director who passed away in 2010.
The July 2013 opening of this park fulfills a long-standing need in our community for more soccer fields. As shown in the illustration below, the park has seven fields. Most can be figured as one large field or two youth fields. Three of the fields are synthetic turf, and the entire complex is lighted. A parking lot and restrooms are included in this phase, along with a walking-jogging path around the perimeter of the entire site.
In the future, time uncertain, the park will have a pool or other aquatic features, a play area and possibly a fire station-neighborhood center.
Mary Grogan park is open:
Monday-Friday 2pm to sunset.
Saturday and Sunday 8am to sunset.
There is one community field available, unless the park is booked. This is for people who want to just come out and kick a ball around. However, if it's an organized group, game, large group etc all fields must be rented through the city.
