COVID-19 Weekly Update- July 12, 2020

MYSA-Ajax Weekly Update:
Mary Grogan is officially closed until August 1. Tryouts will be scheduled by each team individually during the NorCal tryout window, which ends on July 20. If allowed by NorCal, tryouts will be held during the month of August.

Fall Season Update:
Our registration numbers for the fall season are looking great for this fall. Since we still have a few more spots open, the deadline for the fall season has been pushed back to July 15, 2020. Our club would like to reassure all members that we will take every precaution necessary and will adhere to the latest health and safety guidelines in order to keep our players as safe as possible.

In accordance with our team building policies, players will be assigned to teams on a first come, first served basis. Although we will not be charging late fees this season, team placement may not be available for your child, after July 15, 2020. We encourage you to register by July 15, 2020. Also, our Fall season timeline has been slightly modified. We will publish the Fall season timeline on our website once it is finalized.

Scholarships:
In 2019, SaveMart made a significant donation to our Modesto Soccer Foundation (MSF). This donation will enable us to assist those families in need and who qualify for our MSF financial assistance program, for the Fall season. In March of 2020, SaveMart, once again, made a smaller contribution to the Ajax United scholarship fund. Their kindness will continue to provide playing opportunities to many MYSA and Ajax United youth players of our community.

MYSA Scholarship applications must be turned in by July 15, 2020. Scholarships are not guaranteed for applications received after July 1, 2020. An Ajax United scholarship due date has not been set. We will publish its due date on our website as soon as a timeline has been set for Ajax United teams.

Adult Soccer (Men, Women, Co-ed, Just for Kicks):
No games or activities until further notice. We will finish up the current season as soon as we can go back out to the fields. The next season will start in September of 2020.

MYSA-Ajax Office Guidelines and Hours:
Our office is currently open to our members. Due to COVID-19 and our dedication in keeping you and our staff members safe, we request that you use our online system for registration, informational needs, payments, and communication ([email protected]) purposes. Our office is now equipped with sneeze guards. However, when visiting our office, you must wear a face mask, must keep the mandated six feet social distance, and no one will be allowed in the individual staff members’ offices, unless you have a scheduled meeting.
