2025-2026 MYSA-Ajax Mini Season Tryouts
U8-U14 Boys and Girls
The League is put on by CYSA District VIII, and is open to all participating District VIII Leagues. Teams in our District are from Merced to Stockton, Sonora to Tracy, and many cities in between. The teams are travel teams. Players are selected based on their performance at tryouts. All coaches are encouraged to support their players’ development and recommendations of players are appreciated.
ONLY players that participated in our 2025 Fall MYSA recreational league or another current CYSA affiliated 2025 fall recreation league are eligible to try-out for the Bill Meyer League. This is a League rule.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Our Director of Coaching will hold a 10-minute parent meeting prior to your child’s tryout.
Tryouts are free. Registration once an offer is made: $250.00/player.
Uniform is included. Home and away jersey, shorts, socks, and hoodie.
Our staff will send out team offers via Email within 48-72 hours after receiving the final rosters from tryouts/coaches. It is a long administrative process, so be patient with our coaching and office staff.
Possible travel to Sonora, Merced, Manteca, Atwater, Tracy, and surrounding areas.. We will do our best to schedule games at Mary Grogan (Modesto).
If you commit your child to a team, please understand that you are committing your child to two practices per week and 2 games on Saturdays. Also, in case of inclement weather, be flexible with the Mini-Season reschedule process.
MANDATORY Uniform fittings as they are time sensitive - Girls fittings, November 17th. U8-U10 4 pm to 6 pm and U12-U14- 6 pm to 8 pm. Boys fittings, November 18th. U8-U10 4 pm to 6 pm and U12-U14 6 to 8 pm. Fittings are held at MYSA office, 416 N. 9th St, Suite I. If a player is unable to attend the scheduled time, please contact the office immediately to request an alternate time.
Practices start the first week of December. There will be two practices per week. Schedule is to be determined.
The season starts in early January and goes through February. There is an end of season tournament the first weekend in March and will be held at Mary Grogan. However, the league schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, league logistics, etc.
Many players transition to Ajax United (competitive soccer) after our Mini-Season.
Some Ajax United coaches will serve as assistants.
