Mary Grogan is officially closed until September 1st.
MYSA (recreation program):
Fall Season Update:
Our registration numbers for the fall season are very good and we hope to have a great fall season once the Mary Grogan opens. Our MYSA registration link is now closed, but if your child is still interested in playing this fall, please call our staff or come into our office. Our club would like to reassure all members that we will take every precaution necessary and will adhere to the latest health and safety guidelines in order to keep our players as safe as possible. We would also like to remind you that our Fall season timeline has been slightly modified and can now be found on our MYSA webpage.
We have scheduled a MYSA Coaches’ Zoom meeting and an informational Parents’ meeting on the following dates:
For questions and to register for our MYSA Fall season, please go to: https://www.mysa-ajax.org/Default.aspx?tabid=332322
If our Fall season does not take place due to COVID019 prior to the first game of the season, full refunds will be provided to our members.

Ajax United (competitive program):
Carlos, our Director of Coaching, has been holding weekly Zoom meetings with our coaching staff every week. The agenda has included the team building process, updated monthly fees, registration fees, training guidelines, COVID-19 protocols, and weekly and monthly coaching responsibilities. Under their monthly coaching responsibilities, Ajax United coaches should be communicating parents’ related topics that have been discussed during these weekly Zoom meetings. We have found this to be the most effective way to immediately communicate with our Ajax United members, on a weekly basis.

Scholarships:
In 2019, SaveMart made a significant donation to our Modesto Soccer Foundation (MSF). This donation will enable us to assist those families in need and who qualify for our MSF financial assistance program, for the Fall season. In March of 2020, SaveMart, once again, made a smaller contribution to the Ajax United scholarship fund. Their kindness will continue to provide playing opportunities to many MYSA and Ajax United youth players of our community.
MYSA Scholarship applications must be turned in by July 15, 2020. Scholarships are not guaranteed for applications received after July 1, 2020. An Ajax United scholarship due date has not been set. We will publish its due date on our website as soon as a timeline has been set for Ajax United teams.
An updated version of our MSF scholarship application has been posted on our website at https://dt5602vnjxv0c.cloudfront.net/portals/4537/docs/forms/2020%20msf%20-%20financial%20aid%20form%201.pdf
Adult Soccer (Men, Women, Co-ed, Just for Kicks):
No games or activities until further notice. We will finish up the current season as soon as we can go back out to the fields. The next season will start in September of 2020.
Office Guidelines and Hours:
Our office is currently open to our members. We recognize that you may have concerns or hesitations due to the latest news and information about COVID-19. As you can imagine, it is important as an organization that we take some common-sense precautions. Below are some of the key precautions that we have implemented:
-
Hand-sanitizer is available for our members and employees. While hand washing is still preferred, these will serve as an important secondary layer of precaution.
-
We have implemented enhanced environmental cleaning procedures throughout our facilities, including disinfecting door handles, and surfaces that members regularly come in contact with.
-
Employees will be continually reminded about the importance of hand hygiene, covering the nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing.
-
Employees will be prohibited from coming to work while ill, or with any flu-like symptoms, and we are asking the same of our customers.
-
Proper precautions will be taken for employees who have traveled abroad, or to any heavily infected area of the country.
We have developed a protocol to be followed in the unlikely event that an employee is ever diagnosed with COVID-19. So far, none of our four MYSA-Ajax United office employees have been infected with COVID-19.
The health and well-being of our MYSA-Ajax front office employees and customers is one of our top priorities.
Also, due to COVID-19 and our dedication in keeping you and our staff members safe, we request that you use our online system for registration, informational needs, payments, and communication ([email protected]) purposes. Our office is now equipped with sneeze guards. However, when visiting our office, you must wear a face mask, must keep the mandated six feet social distance, and no one will be allowed in the individual staff members’ offices, unless you have a scheduled meeting.
